IRVINE, CA ( May 29, 2014)- The OC Blues will host Arizona United SC on Saturday,  May 31 at 7 p.m. PT in what will be their first of two consecutive home games at Anteater Stadium.

Arizona United SC comes to Irvine after an 0-4 loss at their home field to Chivas Reserves on May 24. This match comes as the second loss in a row for Arizona United totalling their overall record to 3-4-1. United outlasted OKC Energy FC on Wednesday night in overtime to advance to the 4th round of the US Open Cup, winning 2-1. Formerly the Phoenix FC Wolves, Arizona United is a newly rebranded team. The name and crest change came when ownership of the club changed hands to Kyle Eng in March of 2014.

The Blues enter the game with an overall record of 3-7-0. Although The Blues battled hard in their last game against Sounders Reserves, the only goal was placed in the back of the net in the 73rd minute by Seattle forward Cam Weaver. The Blues are preparing to bounce back from their last defeat and reign in a win in front of their home fans.

This is the first encounter for The Blues and Arizona United. Both teams will be battling hard on Saturday to improve their record and will be seeing each other again three more times in regular season play. Next week, the Blues will be home again for a game against the Dayton Dutch Lions, and want to welcome and encourage all to come out to their “World Soccer Celebration” on June 7 at 7 p.m. PT.
