IRVINE, CA (August 12, 2014) – The Orange County Blues face the Charleston Battery on Wednesday, August 13 at 4:30PM PST, at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina. The Blues (27 points on 23 games, 9-14-0) finally obtained a win on Sunday with a 1-0 victory against Rochester Rhinos, ending a six game draught. With the victory, the Blues moved into eighth place in USL PRO standings, getting them closer to clinching a playoff spot.

The Battery (26 points on 22 games, 6-8-8) have been taking care of business during the Blues’ summer slump. The home side is on a five-match unbeaten streak, its longest of 2014, climbing from a tie for last place to contention for a playoff spot. The team is now in the middle of a three-match home stand, and holds a game in hand on Orange County heading into Wednesday’s showdown.
