IRVINE, CA. (December 19th, 2014) – In the spirit of the holiday season, Orange County Blues FC has adopted a family from Share Our Selves, a non-profit organization established to help the lower-income residents in Orange County.
The Blues have adopted a family of seven which includes five boys who are big sports fans, specifically of soccer and the OC Blues. As part of the program, the team will provide each family member essentials such as clothing, outdoor gear and sporting goods.
The parents continue to strive to meet the needs of their family despite the setbacks they have faced. Both work hard to provide the most they can for their family and their boys are good students with very bright futures.
The Blues organization hopes to make this year’s holiday season a memorable one for this family. To ensure that they also enjoy a pleasant holiday dinner; the Blues will provide a gift card to be used for food and other specific needs for the family.
Founded in 1970, Share Our Selves initially provided food, clothing and financial help for important needs such as housing, transportation and child support. The organization has expanded to include medical and dental care, as well as mental health and counseling support. SOS has opened a couple clinics like the El Sol Wellness Center in Santa Ana which provides to the student and families of El Sol Academy with social services, screening and urgent care.
Tis’ the season to give back. If you wish to contribute visit www.shareourselves.org for more information.
